MRS. ALBINA BISSON

The funeral of Mrs. Albina R. Bisson, formerly of 77 Gray Street, will be held Monday at 8:15 a.m. from the Thomas J. King & Son Funeral Home, 1011 Atewells Avenue. A solemn high requiem Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston.

Mrs. Bisson, widow of Paul A. Bisson, died Thursday night in Rhode Island Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Blackstone, Mass., Mar. 5, 1866, a daughter of the late Isaac and Agnes (LeDuc) Fontaine, she had lived in Providence for 65 years. She was a member of St. Ann’s Sodality of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.

Mrs. Bisson was the mother of the late Rev. Brother Anselm, F.S.C., of Lasalle Academy.

She leaves five sons, Paul A., Charles E., Clarence E. and Joseph A. Bisson, all of Providence, and George A. Bisson of Newport, state insurance commissioner; three daughters, Mrs. Alfred E. Caplette of Milbury, Mass.; Mrs. Anaclet A. Plante of Providence, and Mrs. Anthony R. Shaw of Hingham, Mass; two brothers, Edward F. Fontaine of Bristol and Israel F. Fontaine of Lakewood; two sisters, Mrs. Odina Rail of Rapid City, S.D., and Mrs. May Comerford of Lakewood; 27 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
