Susie was my husband's aunt by marriage daughter of Fred Vollentine and Julia Becka - she married his uncle Elo on November 30, 1939 and they had three sons and two daughters, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Susie was a resident of Houston since 1966 and a long time member of St Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Houston. She was also an active member of St Rita's Altar Society.
Aunt Susie and Uncle Elo were very precious to us - they were like another set of grandparents to our children. Our sons stayed at the nursery that Susie ran for many years and at their home many times.
