Obituary - Mrs. Anna M. Meier, aged 70, of 40 Edwards Street, Patchogue, who was among the early settlers in Medford, died Sunday afternoon in the Southside Convalescent home on East Main Street, Patchogue.
Born in Frankfort, Germany, Mrs. Meier came to this country about 60 years ago. She had lived in Patchogue for several years.
Mrs. Meier's first husband, Florenz Melzer, died in 1912. Her second husband, William Meier, died in 1925.
She leaves four sons, Florenz Melzer, Patchogue, Richard Melzer, Funkstown, Md., Edward Melzer, Panama, and William Melzer, Richmond Hill; two daughters, Mrs. Anna Bishop, Patchogue and Mrs. Harriet Dalmus, New York, and nine grandchildren.
The funeral service was held at 1 p.m. at the Robertaccio Funeral home, South Ocean Avenue, Patchogue, the Rev. Robert Hampshire, rector of Christ Episcopal church, Bellport, officiating. Cremation was made at Fresh Pond, Queens.
