John J. (Zuz) Zola, 86, of Flat Road, Plymouth, died on Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. , He was born on Jan. 16, 1921, in Plymouth, the son of the late John M.and Helen (Dziekan) Zola. He was a member of All Saints Parish, Plymouth, and a member of the Over the Hill Gang at Moon Lake Park, where they fished and also did other sports. He will be greatly missed by his friends.
John was employed by Sordoni Sterling Engineering and Manufacturing Co., where he retired.
He served in the Air Force during World War II, having attained the rank of Tech. Sgt. He was preceded in death by his sisters Mary Soha, Katherine Sem-cheski, Lydia Waiter, Josephine Hudzik; and his brothers, Walter and Anthony. Funeral services will be vk 4 held at 9 a.m. Friday at the Piszczek-Desiderio Funeral Home, 70 E.
Main St., Plymouth, and 9:30 a.m. at St. Stephen's Church in Plymouth. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Plymouth Township.
Visitation will be held at the Plymouth location today from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to All Saints Parish, 66 Willow St., Plymouth, or to the Plymouth Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 156, Plymouth, PA 18651..
