MRS. ALDRIDGE FUNERAL TODAY
Sorrowing Friends Accompany Body To Carrollton For Interment This Morning

A large number of sorrowing friends followed the remains of Mrs. Kate George Aldridge to their last resting place at Carrollton this morning, following funeral services at the First Baptist Church in this City.

Coming yesterday morning Mrs. Aldridge's passing brought grief to hundreds of those who knew and loved her and the esteem in which she was universally held was attested by the many beautiful floral offerings sent by her friends.

Mrs. Aldridge was a daughter oi General James Z. George, Mississippi's great commoner, and was nearly seventy two years old at the time of death. She was the widow of the late Frank M. Aldridge, one of Leflore County's most prominent planters and useful citizens, and had lived in Leflore County since 1877.

Mrs. Aldridge was a life long and devoted member of the Baptist Church. In this community she was a leader in good works ever heeding the call of want and extending sympathy and extending sorrow, always ready to give cheer and comfort to others, making the world a better place in which to live. In church work, in every way she gave unstintingly of her time and devotion. Her life was most wonderful example of true Christian womanhood.
