Services for Frederick Field set for Thursday
Frederick E. Field, 76, 25 Buffalo Street, Hamburg, died Tuesday, July 19, 1977 at 11:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Victory Hospital in Lackawanna.
Born Dec. 21, 1900 in London, England, he was the son of William and Alice Lynch Field. He had formerly lived in Conewango Valley and East Otto.
He was for many years an electrician at Bethlehem Steel in Buffalo and also at one time had been a lineman for Postal Telegraph in Buffalo. He served in the Canadian Army in World War I.
He was a member of the Creek Bend Heights Social Club in Hamburg.
He was married to the former Helen Barhite who died June 12, 1975.
Surviving are one son, Douglas Field of Ayr, Scotland; one daughter, Mrs. Vincent (Freda) Pupo Sr. of Blasdell; a brother, Arthur Field of Ripley; six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Whitney and a daughter, Marjorie.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Hoitink Funeral Home, 165 Main Street, Randolph. The Rev. Horace Bohea of the East Randolph United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Ellington
