MRS. JOHN (CATHERINE REISING) HOLEFELDER
JANUARY 30, 1914

Last week we announced the sudden death of Mrs. John Holefelder at Chicago, Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1914

Catherine Reising, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Reising, was born in Woodford county, Illinois, July 1, 1855.

In 1866 the family moved to a farm nine miles south of Chatsworth and here she resided until her marriage to John Holefelder in 1877 and they resided in this vicinity until 1884 when they moved to Chicago and that has been her home since.

She was the mother of eight children, four sons and four daughters, six of whom are still living as follows: Mrs. Mary Larson, Mrs. Gertrude Reinhard, William, Minnie, Peter and Henry, all residing in Chicago, and Kathryn and Johnnie deceased.

Mrs. Holefelder was a kind and loving wife and mother and her husband and children, as well as her many friends and other relatives, of which a large number reside in Chatsworth and vicinity.

Funeral Jan. 23, from the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Chicago and the remains laid at rest in St. Boniface cemetery.
