Anna Hestaleen Carter was born April 21, 1922 at Lone Grove to the late Hubert Davis and Lucy Colleen (Bobo) Davis. Anna died Saturday, December 13, 2014 in an Ardmore health care facility at the age of 92 years 7 months and 22 days.

She was a graduate of Lone Grove High School, the class of 1940 and was an Arthur Murray dance instructor at one of his schools. She and Bryan Hamilton "B.H." Carter married September 2, 1949 at Oklahoma City.

A member of Lone Grove United Methodist Church, Anna had been a bookkeeper, member of the Signal Corps and was a member of the North American Conference on Christianity and Ecology.

Her husband, B. H., parents, and two sisters, Evelyn Brewer and infant, Clara, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Colleen Keener of Ardmore; her granddaughter, Jamie Johnson, great grandsons, Bryan and Jared Luke Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews.
