NESS, The Reverend Doctor John Harrison, age 88, passed away Friday at the Otterbein Home, Lebanon, O. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myra (Kiracofe) Ness in 1965. 

He is survived by 2 sons, John H. Ness, Jr., Lake Junaluska, N.C., Robert K Ness, Kensington, Md.; 1 sister, Mrs. Flora Mitzel of Yoe, Pa.; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.

He was born Oct. 23, 1891 in York, Pa. He was ordained Oct. 12, 1919, in Hanover, Pa., served for 17 years as Superintendent of the Pennsylvanla Conference E.U.B., served 1948-62 on the Board of Pensions as an Associate and Executive Secretary, served as active Superintendent at the Otterbein home in 1967.

He has been a resident of the Otterbein Home since 1973. Funeral services 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Otterbein Home, Lebanon, O., Pastor Gordon Core officiating. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call 8:15 till time of service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Otterbein Home.
