James B. “Jimmy” Deavy was born July 3, 1914 in Campbell County, Kentucky to John Deavy and Marguerite McGowan Deavy. On October 17, 1936 he married Bernadine E. Simon Deavy, almost four years his senior, and they had two children: Patricia Jean “Patsy” Deavy Noll and James Henry Deavy.

Surviving his wife by 14 years, Jimmy died December 27, 1983 in Newport, Campbell County at age 69. He is buried near his wife at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Wilder, Campbell County, Kentucky. While cemetery records show his and his wife’s graves are unmarked, family insist they are marked but hard to find. Thanks to "Law" for finding the graves and photographing them.

Thanks so much to his wife’s nephew Lee Stauber for much of this information. Any errors, however, are mine alone. Please go to the “edit” link on this site with any corrections or additions. Thanks also to Carol S. for transferring this site to me. I hope others will add photos of Jimmy. If a closer relative would like to manage this site, please let me know.
