Reva M. Norton, 79, longtime resident of Chenango Forks and recently of Susquehanna Nursing Center passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014. She was predeceased by her son, James (Jamie) Norton; parents, Harold and Helen Outman; brother, Arland Outman; and sisters, Shirley Bickford and Sherry Outman. She is survived by her five loving children; Cindy Norton, Raleigh, NC, Ken and Karen Norton, Greene, Tom Norton, Binghamton, Nancy and Jeff Davies, Owego, Dan and Britney Norton, Albany; eight grandchildren who were the light of her eyes; Erin and Andrew Norton, Alex, Sarah, Emily and Lauren Davies; Carter and Chloe Norton; sister, Beverly Heath; brothers Gordon and Elaine Outman and Ted Outman as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Reva was a member of First Church of Christ, Binghamton and the Chenango Forks Fire Department Auxiliary. She will be remembered for her deep faith and as a kind and gentle woman. She was an avid NY Yankees fan, enjoyed crocheting and knitting and loved to travel; especially to visit her sister in Florida and her children in North Carolina and Boston. Memorial services will be held Friday, December 19, 2014 at 4PM at First Church of Christ, 1980 Front Street, Binghamton, NY 13901 with Rev. Nick Haner officiating. The family will welcome friends from 2pm-4pm at the church. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
