Theresa Day Johnson, 56, of Denham Springs, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2009, at Our Lady of The Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. She served her community as a registered nurse at Woman's Hospital, Baton Rouge, for more than 17 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. Her family and friends will miss her dearly. Visitation at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Wednesday, June 17, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with the rosary recited at 7 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home on Thursday, June 18, from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs at 10 a.m. Burial at Evergreen Memorial Park, Denham Springs. Survived by her husband, Benny Johnson; children, Jimmy Johnson, Melina Arnold, Chris Johnson, Tommy Johnson and Matt Johnson; 14 grandchildren; father, George Elder Day; brothers and sisters, George Day Jr., Peggy Day, Ed Day, Monica Casertano, Jimmy Day, Kathy Palmeri and Tim Day. She was preceded in death by her mother, Theresa McCann Day.
