Victoria -- Mrs. Lena Kippes, 72, widow of the late Peter C. Kippes, died Monday at the St. Anthony Hospital. She was born May 30, 1899 in Park, and spent most of her adult life in the Vincent and Victoria communities.

She was a member of the Christian Mothers of Vincent.

Mrs. Kippes is survived by four sons, Roy and Lloyd, both of San Angelo, Texas, Terry of the home, and Eugene of Hays; two daughters, Mrs. Ed (Pearl) Leiker and Mrs. Wilfred J. (Rita) Pfeifer, both of Hays; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Ed Nelson, Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Peter Paul, Atchison; and two brothers, Richard Schwartz, Denver, Colo., and Raymond Schwartz, Hays.

Mrs. Kippes was preceded in death by her husband in 1966, and one sister.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the St. Fidelis Church, Victoria, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 7:30 p.m. today in the Cline's Mortuary Chapel, Victoria. A parish Wake Service will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary, and a Christian Mothers of Vincent Rosary is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. Wednesday.
