William T. "Bill" Hart, 84, of Dover, died Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. He was born May 16, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois, to Dallas and Ruby D. Swearingen Hart. He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Russellville where he had served on the church council and as an usher. He was a United States Air Force veteran, had worked as a mail carrier for 15 years and retired from the Corps of Engineers working in land maintenance. He was a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Lottie B. Hart; three sons and daughters-in-law, James Michael and Robin Hart of San Diego, California, Timothy Allan and Kim Hart of Clarksville, and Christopher Lee and Kim Hart of Fayetteville; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda L. and Karl Smith of Champaign, Illinois; four grandchildren and their spouses, Amanda and Daniel Marley, Jonathan Michael and Ali Hart, Angela Michelle and Spencer Hill, and Daniel and Sarah Hart; and five great-grandchildren, Lauren, Caroline and Ellie Hill and Scarlett and West Hart.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at the Shinn Chapel officiated by Pastor Philip Schwerin. Burial will be in McFadden Cemetery at Dover, by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening, from 5-7 p.m., at the funeral home.
