BONHAM – Funeral services for Billie Beavers Campbell, age 81, of Temple, TX are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 20, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Bonham, TX. Dr. Ronnie Hood and Rev. W.C. Beasley will officiate. Interment will follow at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, TX. Ms. Campbell passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, TX.
Billie Beavers Campbell was born March 5, 1933, to Fred W. and Mattie Marie Glover Beavers in Windom, TX. She graduated from Windom High School and went on to graduate from East Texas State College a few years later. Billie married Joe Campbell on March 5, 1954 in Honey Grove, TX. Ms. Campbell devoted 37 years to the public education systems of Wolfe City, Grand Prairie, Marlin, and Bonham. After retirement they enjoyed farming and vacationing in Colorado.
She is survived by her two loving children – Dr. Joel Campbell of Temple, TX and Carla Coggins of Grand Prairie; Grandchildren – Aaron and Laura Coggins.
Ms. Campbell is preceded in death by her husband Joe Carlton Campbell.
Serving as pallbearers will be John Simpson, Aubrey Conley, Stanley Richardson, Jack Houston, Mark Houston, and Don Manhart.
Family visitation is scheduled for Friday, December 19, 2014 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home, Bonham, TX from 6-8 p.m.
