Reverend Kenneth R. Williams, 82, of Wilkes-Barre, went home to the Lord, on Friday, November 28, 2014, surrounded by his loving family at Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-Barre, where he was a guest for a short time.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on August 27, 1932, he was a son of the late Harry and Marion (Palmer) Williams.

After attending Coughlin High School, he proudly served his country for 7 years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

Kenneth served as the Emergency Disaster Director for 10 counties in New York for the Salvation Army prior to achieving his Master's Degree in Bible Theology and his Ph.D from the International Bible Institute and Seminary in Florida. He was ordained on May 25, 1975.

He served as Pastor at three churches in Brooklyn from 1975 to 1985 before moving back to the area. He retired from Faith Baptist Church, Dallas, PA in 1992. He was currently a member of Meade Street Baptist Church, Wilkes-Barre and assisted in teaching Bible study.

Preceding him in death was a daughter, Karen DiPiazza, a sister, Eleanora Perrigo, and a brother, John Williams.

Surviving to cherish his memory are; his loving wife of 54 years, Clara E. (Johnson) Williams, three daughters, Diane Bell and her husband, Calvin, Ashley, PA, Laura Dudick and her husband, Lee, Wilkes-Barre, Sharon Williams, Jamestown NY, a son Joseph DiPiazza, Brooklyn, NY, 5 grandchildren, Tina, Kristen, Gencina, Alexandra and her husband, Darrell, and Joseph, 4 great grandchildren, Gabriel, Titus, Alexis, Gabrielle, a sister, Lois Cooper, Hunlock Creek, a brother, Walter Williams, Wilkes-Barre, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 2, at the Meade Street Baptist Church, 50 N. Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre, at 1:00PM with Pastor Chester Dudick officiating. Friends are invited to call from 12:00 PM till the time of the service. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to the church.
