Laverne Templeton, age 83 of Chatsworth and formerly of Tunnel Hill, passed away Friday, December 19th in Wood Dale Health Care Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Bertha Horne; sisters, Mattie Humphries, Frances Haygood; and brothers, Joe Horne, J.C. Horne, and Rev. Clifford Horne.
She was a member of Holly Creek Baptist Church of Chatsworth and formerly a long time member of Keith Baptist Church of Tunnel Hill.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Templeton; daughters and sons-in-law, Katie and Dan Sluder and Melonie and Lee Wyatt; brother and sister in law, Ronald and Shirley Horne, grandchildren, Corey Bush, Kyle Bush, Josh Sluder, and Shallna Jackson.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, December 21st 2014 from the Chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Tunnel Hill with Dr. Danny Cochran and Rev. Michael Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Keith Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, December 20th 2014.
