Mrs. Mina Johanna Pauketat, wife of August Pauketat, passed away at her home on the Glen Carbon road yesterday, following a lingering illness due to a malignant growth. She had been in ill health for the past several years.
Mrs. Pauketat was born August 2, 1853, in Germany, and at the time of her death was aged 63 years, 8 months and 3 days. When a young lady she was united in marriage with August Pauketat, by whom she is survived.
There are three daughters, Mrs. William J. Eickmann, Mrs. Joseph Bouse, Jr., and Mrs. C.W. Walden, all of near Edwardsville; one son, Irving Pauketat, of Glen Carbon, and one sister, residing in Germany, who also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock at the family residence, thence to the Eden Evangelical Church in this city at 2 o'clock. Rev. H.J. Bredehoeft will have charge. Interment will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
