She married John Wilson, 11 Nov 1860. John established a public mill for wheat and corn in 1861, which operated until 1868. In 1862 he enlisted in Company G of the 48th Alabama Infantry. She was able to support the family through the war by operating the mill. John H. was born after he left for Virginia with the 48th Alabama Infantry. After John returned from the war they had five more children. Their children were:John H. 1863-1933 Idella 1866-1955Robert Lee 1868-1957Hannah E. 1871-1946Toby Walter 1874-1898Addie Chester1878-1954John's parents were Andrew, passed in 1865, and Hannah, passed in 1875. As the first born son, John quit carpentry and took over the family farm. In 1898 they sold the farm and moved to Williamson, Texas. John died December 28, 1898. Her grandson Charlie Warren Webster (C.W.) helped her apply for her husband's pension. After John died, she lived with her son Robert Lee Wilson. Margaret was awarded John's Confederate pension in 1915. She died in 31 Jul 1920 in the home of her son Robert Lee. C.W. Webster certified the date of death. R.E. Cole, Killeen, Bell County, undertaker, certified that she was buried at Bartlett Cemetery in Bell County Texas 1 Aug 1920.
