Joseph G. Abramson, a prominent lawyer in this city for more than 65 years and a director of the Sterling National Bank and Trust Company, died yesterday at his home, 710 Park Avenue. He was 89 years old.
Mr. Abramson, who was an active practicing lawyer with an office at 122 East 42nd Street, was often referred to as a dean of real‐estate law.
He received his law degree in 1905 from New York University, and was a member of the New York County Lawyers Association.
He was a founder and the first secretary of the Fenway Golf Club in Westchester County.
He leaves his wife, the former Dosie April; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Golding and Mrs. Lucille Feldesman; a brother, Louis Allen Abramson; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Sunday at 10 A.M. at the Riverside funeral chapel, Amsterdam Avenue at 76th Street.
