Edward was the son of John D. and Louise Rudolph Bringman with siblings: Melinda and William. He married Beatrice McDonald on 2 March 1916 in Lucas County. Edward was 5 foot 6 inches, of medium build, with brown eyes and dark brown hair. He was a body finisher for Willys-Overland Auto Company and then a section hand for the C&O railroad. He died at 46 when he was unloading railroad ties and was struck in the head by a tie in the C&O railroad yard.
