Harl T. Cromwell, 69, of 1908 Home, Independence, died yesterday at the Independence hospital. He was born in Lamar, Mo., and lived in Independence 36 years. Mr. Cromwell worked for the Southwestern Bell Telephone company 53 years. He retired three years ago. Mr. Cromwell, a Mason, was a member of the Communications Workers of America, the Telephone Pioneers of America and the National Council of Senior Citizens, Inc. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ruby Cromwell of the home; a son, Harl Gene Cromwell, 10506 Scarritt, and a daughter, Mrs. Lois Mullins, 10515 Scarritt, both of Sugar Creek; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
