Norman (Bill) Glenwood Bailey was Army through and through. He carried himself with military dignity and precision, when he was wearing his uniform and at home. He served his country in the United States Army for over 23 years, both in peace time and war, World War II, Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam Conflict. He has earned the National Defense Service (1 Oak Leaf Cluster) Army Occupation Medal (Germany), Combat Infantry Badge, Bronze Star Medal (2d Oak Leaf Cluster), Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Philippine Independence Ribbon, World War II Victory Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, 2d Overseas Bars, Army Good Conduct Medal and Army Commendation Medal. Bill was survived by his

wife, Bonnie, of the home and four children by a previous marriage, Carol Kendall of San Antonio TX, Ronnie Bailey of San Antonio TX, Judy Underwood (Travis) of Halthom City TX and Terry Bailey (Jo) of Mansfield TX. He also had three grandchildren, Michael Kendall, Christohpher Olack and Ronda Baker and four great-grandchildren, Cara Olack, Myah Olack, McKalyn Pollard and Nolan Baker.
