---Bonnie was born on August 18, 1940 in Lansing to Harold and Verona (Loehr) Hildebrant. She graduated from Holt High School in 1958. On June 29, 1968 she married Richard "Dick" Halstead at the Colonial Village Baptist Church in Lansing.
---Bonnie retired from the Marshall Country Club after working for 25 years as grounds keeper. She would take care of the flower beds and mowing the fairways. Bonnie also worked for Farm Bureau Insurance in Lansing for a few years before going to the Marshall Country Club. Bonnie was a member of the Colonial Village Baptist Church and she attended Ceresco Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and was an avid collector of cook books. Bonnie loved baking, cooking and getting reacquainted with old friends and family.
---She is survived by her husband Richard of Marshall; son, Todd (Lois) Halstead of Battle Creek; mother, Verona Hildebrant of Marshall; brothers, Loren (Betty) Hildebrant of Moultrie, Georgia and Dale (Merrily) Hildebrant of San Bernardino, California; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father.
---A memorial gather will take place from 4-7pm at the Craig Kempf Family Funeral Homes, Marshall Chapel Reception Hall on Friday, December 19, 2014. A private interment will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions are requested to the family. Assistance with memorials is available at the Kempf Funeral Home.
