Opal Jacquelyn "Jacquey" Fox, 78, passed away at her home in Keokuk on December 24, 2014.

Jacquey was born in Coolidge, Arizonia, on June 29, 1936, the daughter of Sterling and Ceola Wallace Bone. On May 26, 1958, she was united in marriage to Owen Martin "Marty" Fox in Chandler, Arizona. He survives.

A resident of Keokuk since 1978, Jacquelyn was a devoted member of All Saints Catholic Church and the Keokuk Area Hospital Auxiliary. While in the Auxiliary, she volunteered her time to working in the hospital gift shop. She was employed as the In-store seamstress and window-dresser for J.C. Penney, and later worked in billing for Decker Manufacturing in Keokuk. Her favorite job was taking care of her grandchildren. Both Jacquey's father and husband were career military personnel, she was an Air Force brat an Air Force wife and an Army Grandmother, and she was very proud of that heritage. While living on-base, she would assist in orienting new military families to their new homes. She was a very supportive person, especially with Marty's military career.

Jacquey is survived by her husband Marty of Keokuk; her daughter Terra Fox of Keokuk; her son Tony (Deanna) Fox of Keokuk; three grandchildren: Martin (Ashley) Fox of Des Moines, Iowa; Nathon (Elizabeth) Fox of Keokuk; and Jessica Fox and Tony Arkema of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Other survivors include two sisters: Louise Walker of Amarillo, Texas; and Betty Holmes of Fredericksburg, Texas; her brother Michael Bone of Tempe, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at All Saints Catholic Church in Keokuk, with Reverend Robert Lathrop Officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton, Illinois.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 PM on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, with family meeting friends from 6 to 8 PM at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Centers at 917 Blondeau Street. A Rosary Service will be held at 8 PM following the visitation.

Memorials may be made to All Saints Catholic Church or Lee County Hospice.
