. Pascal Ferdinand (Sam) Stabile, 84, of 344 Spruce Street, Canonsburg, died at 8:20 a.m. Easter Sunday, April 2, 1972, In Canonsburg General Hospital.
. He was born Easter Sunday, April 10, 1887, in Pittsburgh, a son of Rosario and Anna Mario Andreolli Stabile, both of whom had come to the United States in 1884.
. Mr. Stabile attended public schools in Pittsburgh and was a member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Canonsburg; the Knights of Columbus Council 3291 and an honory member of the Canonsburg-Houston Kiwanis Club.
. An employee of the Columbia Gas Company 30 years, he founded the Toll Gate Gulf Service Station, 517 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, which he owned and operated until his retirement in 1960.
. He was twice married. On May 16, 1911, he married Rosalie Staffen, who died November 1, 1918. On November 30, 1922, he married Nicolina Cecelia Staffen, who died October 27, 1970.
. Surviving are two sons, Vincent, of Mt. Lebanon, and Paul, of Canonsburg; one daughter, Anna Marie, of Canonsburg; four brothers, Leonard, Nicholas, and John, all of Mt. Lebanon, and Michael, of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
