He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; daughters, Kathy (Gary) Cloud, Mary Lou (Todd) Mason, Dorothy (John) Balzer, Nancy (Joe) Minney, and Peggy (Randy) Glatz; brothers, Thomas Krug and Joseph Krug; and 12 grandchildren.
Jim and his family built and operated Krug's Dairy Queen for 41 years in Bainbridge, OH. He had served the communities of Bainbridge and Chillicothe in many ways including: Kiwanis President and Lieutenant Governor, Co-Founder/Chairman of the Bainbridge Fall Festival of Leaves, Bainbridge Lion's Club member, President of Ross County Board of Health, President of Bainbridge Village Council, Bainbridge Fire Department and Paxton Life Squad volunteer, member of Ross County Library Board and many committees of the Chamber of Commerce, American Cancer Society volunteer, and member of St. Mary's Church Parish Council. In addition to photography, one of Jim's favorite activities was serving as Santa for many children and adults in their homes, schools, churches, and area organizations.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary Church, Rev. Lawrence Hummer, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 Monday at Haller's, where a wake service will be held at 8:00 p.m.
