Michelle Lyn (Denzel) Aho was born Aug. 24, 1969, to James and Betty (Yost) Denzel in Grand Rapids. She grew up and attended schools in Grand Rapids graduating from Grand Rapids High School in 1988. She married Robert W. Aho Aug. 27, 1994, in Wawina. She worked for Minnesota Diversified Industries in Grand Rapids as a large welder until her illness. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary Drill Team in Grand Rapids.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; a son, Matthew James Aho, at home; her mother, Betty Denzel, Grand Rapids; her father, James Denzel, Grand Rapids; her sister, Angel Yost, Grand Rapids; and her maternal grandmother, Anna "Skippy" Catlin, Cohasset.

Preceding her in death was a son, Robert William Aho Jr., in 1993.

Burial: Wawina Cemetery, Wawina Township




Michelle passed away at age 30, from cancer. She got sick, and was taken from her loved ones very quickly. She is mourned and missed every day by those who knew her.
