**Headstone photo shows died 1928, but she actually died in 1927, per Newspaper Article and Idaho Death Index**

A terrible tragedy took place at the home of W. H. Bickle east of town Tuesday, when Mrs. Bickle was so severely burned by the explosion of a gasoline lamp she was lighting that she died yesterday, says the Stites Enterprise.

Mrs. Bickle was lighting the lamp, when it exploded, throwing the ignited gasoline over her body. She rushed from the house, calling for assistance, which was immediately available to extinguish the flames, and a physician was soon caring for her, but the burns were so severe that she could not recover.

The flaming gasoline also set fire to the Bickle residence, which was burned to the ground with its contents. The tragedy is one of the worst that has visited this community for many years and sympathy unstinted goes out to Mr. Bickle in the loss he has sustained.
