Shawn Marie Dornan (Hester)
She passed away April 9th 2006 at her home in Sammamish after a long and courageous battle with many illnesses. Shawn was born July 12, 1965 in Thousand Oaks, California to Judith and Richard Hester. Shawn graduated from Redmond High School in 1983 and several years later attended Bellevue Community College.
She married David Dornan, June 27th in 1998. They have a daughter Nichole, who will graduated from high school this year, and will carry on her mother's "Shining Light". She loved her family gatherings and she loved to fish and travel.
Shawn is survived by her husband David, daughter Nichole, her parents Richard and Judith Hester all of Sammamish, WA, a sister Jennifer Hester of Redmond, WA, her brother Raymond Hester of Kirkland, WA, a grandfather Thomas Dishno of Sammamish, WA, her grandmother Vera Kerner of Kirkland, WA and many aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. Shawn was preceded in death by her sister Sheila Hester in February 1999 and her grandmother Nellie Dishno in March 2004.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 15 at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1121 228th Ave SE, Sammamish followed by a 2:30 p.m. graveside service at Cedar Lawns Cemetery, 7200 180th Ave. NE, Redmond.
