He is survived by;

Three Daughters
Sheri Newby and husband, Sam of Pocola, Oklahoma
Marilyn Tuttle and husband, Stan of Arkoma, Oklahoma
Nancy Arcuri of Spiro, Oklahoma

7 Grandchildren

8 Great Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his son William Danny McWhirter.

He was a U.S. Marines Veteran serving in the Korean War where he received the Purple Heart. Bill loved to Rodeo where Calf and Team roping was his expertise.
He was a member of the Spiro VFW Post #4884.

Funeral Services will be 12 (Noon) Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at Mallory-Martin Chapel in Spiro.

Burial will follow in U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday.


Family Visitation will be Tuesday at Malory-Martin Funeral Home 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
