BENNETTSVILLE - Services for Roy Elwood Peacock, 75, will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Blue Family Cemetery. Whitner-Evans Funeral Home is in charge.
Mr. Peacock died Wednesday. Born in Marlboro County, he was a son of the late Roy and Minnie Clark Peacock. He was a skilled tradesman and truck driver with Marlboro County. He was an army veteran of World War II, serving in Africa and France. He was a member of Brownsville Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Syble Blue Peacock of Bennettsville; two sons, Keith Peacock of Kinston, NC and Ray Peacock of Bennettsville; one daughter, Mary Helen Singleton of Sumter; and two brothers, Marion Peacock of Blenheim and James L. Peacock of Dillon.
