She was born Sept. 14, 1905, in Grapeland and had been a resident of Norton and Ballinger before moving to Coleman in 1973. She was co-owner of Dixon Grocery Store and Station and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Rose Lacy Campbell of Ballinger and Betty McClure of Coleman; a son, Curtis William Dixon of Ballinger; a sister, Bertha Holley of Crockett; four grandsons; seven great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
