Bailey Mae Leal, 17, passed away at home on Tuesday, May 21. She was the beloved daughter of Pamela and Cesar Leal of Parkland and loving sister of Marisa and Paige, both 20 and Madison, 12. She is survived by her grandmother Patricia Hardin and her aunts Val Hardin and Kip Pritchard as well as her uncle Kiko Leal, aunt Miriam Leal and extended Leal family in Venezuela. Bailey was a bright light in all of our lives-a superb athlete who loved soccer. As a junior at Stoneman Douglas High School, she made the Varsity team and Broward All-County team three years in a row. She was talented and kind, a teenager who adored animals and designed her own clothing. Bailey was also very much a Florida girl who loved going to the beach and paddle boarding. Her smile would light up a room. We remember her strong spirit and quick sense of humor and her eagerness to help others. This promising young athlete and scholar will be greatly missed by family and friends.
