He was born Feb. 22, 1918, in Browns, the son of August and Edna Crackel Hering.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Hering; one daughter, Debbie Glover and husband, Danny; two grandsons, Michael Glover and wife, Kristi, David Glover and wife, Amy and two great-grandchildren, Justin Michael and Emma Brooke, all residing on the family farm in Bone Gap; three brothers, James Hering of Albion, Howard of Mt. Carmel, and Earl of Ft. Meyers, Fla.; and three sisters, Helen Hott of St. Petrersburg, Fla., Wilma Newport of Biloxi, Miss., and Emma Searby of Tamaroa
Burial was in the Bone Gap Cemetery with full military rites.
