Robert H, Hering, 87, died May 26, 2005 at his home with his wife and daughter by his side.

He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps. He was a petroleum salesman in Grayville at the Wabash Valley Service Company.

He was born Feb. 22, 1918, in Browns, the son of August and Edna Crackel Hering.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Hering; one daughter, Debbie Glover and husband, Danny; two grandsons, Michael Glover and wife, Kristi, David Glover and wife, Amy and two great-grandchildren, Justin Michael and Emma Brooke, all residing on the family farm in Bone Gap; three brothers, James Hering of Albion, Howard of Mt. Carmel, and Earl of Ft. Meyers, Fla.; and three sisters, Helen Hott of St. Petrersburg, Fla., Wilma Newport of Biloxi, Miss., and Emma Searby of Tamaroa

Burial was in the Bone Gap Cemetery with full military rites.
