The residents of this village were deeply saddened by the death of Abie J. Shaul, son of Jacob Shaul. He was well known in the circle of young friends in which he moved. Beloved, and of such a character that in his home and vicinity he will be greatly missed. He is survived by his parents [Jacob and Jane] and four sisters [including Nellie, Maggie, and Edna]. He was buried from the Universalist church Saturday, March 31st, Rev. Lampheare [DeWitt Lamphear], officiating. Interment in Van Hornesville cemetery.
