Obituary

"Miss A"

Our kind and loving aunt, sister and friend passed from this life to the next and from suffering and limitation to joy, peace and freedom December 26, 2014.

Karen was born June 13, 1943 to Albert Owen and Maxine Nelson Allmendinger. She grew up in Midvale, UT and was a proud Beet Digger all her life as a Jordan High alum. After graduating from Brigham Young University she taught at Delta High for three years. She moved to Kamas Valley in 1970 and began a 27-year career in the South Summit School District.

Karen was welcomed into the Roscoe and Winnie Andrus home in Marion, UT in 1971 and resided there as a member of the family until her death.

Karen enjoyed a good book, sports, trains, photography, road trips, game nights, family history and especially her family.

She is survived by a sister, Susan Owens (Merle), Simi Valley, CA, adopted siblings of the Andrus family and many nieces and nephews.

The family is grateful to Karen's friends who did so much for her, including Annette Bowthorpe, Jill Fuchs, Myra Housel, David Louder, Tamara Louder, Connie Nowling and Audrey Stembridge.
