Elda LaVerne Duescher, 89, Luxemburg, died Saturday evening, August 30, 2014 at Bellin Hospital.

She was born in the Town of Montpelier on March 11, 1925 to the late Fred and Bertha (Raduenz) Jahnke.

On April 05, 1941 Elda married Orville F. Duescher at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Montpelier. He preceded her in death on July 06, 2009.

Together they farmed in the Town of Montpelier until moving to Luxemburg. Her enjoyment included cooking, baking, playing cards and spending time with friends, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters, Julaine Mueller, Luxemburg; Karen (Wenzel) Hrabik, Kewaunee; Bonita (Larry) Kittell, Manitowoc; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Deloris Buchholz, Wayside; nieces and nephews.

Elda was preceded in death by, one son-in-law, Erwin R. Mueller, one brother, Clarence (Doris) Jahnke, two sisters and four brothers-in-law, Adeline (Reinhard) Gaedtke, Lorraine (Frank) Pieschek, Earl Zastrow, Lee Buchholz, two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law.

Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG 4 to 7:30 pm, Thursday, September 4, 2014.

Parish prayer service 6:30 pm, Thursday.

Visitation will continue at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Montpelier between 10:00 and 10:45 am Friday the 5th.

Funeral 11:00 am at the church with Dr. Rev. Daniel Olson officiating. Burial in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
