A native of Baldwin, New York, she is best remembered to television audiences for her roles as 'Nancy Garrison' on "Love Is A Many Slendored Thing," from 1968 to 1969, 'Pat Gimble' on "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman," from 1976 to 1977, and 'Sister Amelia' on the soap opera series, "One Life To Live," from 1989 to 1990. Other work includes the films, "The Quinns" (1977), "The World According To Garp" (1982), "The Money Pit" (1986), "Sister Act" (1992), "Sister Act 2: Back In The Habit" (1993), "Sabrina" (1995), and the television programs, "The Monkees," "Felony Squad," "The Girl From U.N.C.L.E," and "The Wild Wild West." Also a noted stage actress she appeared in several plays, and was nominated for two Tony Awards, one in 1971 as Best Actress for the musical, "Company," and the other in 1975 as Best Supporting Actress or Featured Actress for the musical, "Goodtime Charley." She passed away at the age of 65, following a lengthy illness.
