"Funeral services for Sister Roxie Harris Oliver, 105, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Belview Baptist Church with the Rev. Jesse Florence officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Lewis & Walker Funeral Home. Ms. Oliver died at 6:25 p.m. Saturday, June 7, 1986 in Magnolia Manor Nursing Home. She was born April 15, 1881, in Marion County. She was a member of the Ivory Chapel No. 225. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church but later moved her membership to Belview Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Ruby Mathis, of Jefferson; one niece, Sweetie Bailey, of Jefferson; and a number of other relatives and friends."
