Robert Edward Lischka, age 83, of E2786 County Road BB, Denmark, entered into eternal rest Monday, June 30, 2014, at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Care Center in Manitowoc. Bob was born June 16, 1931, in Kewaunee, to the late John and Alice Huck Lischka and has been a lifelong area resident. He married the former Judith Sieker August 10, 1969, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Newtonberg. He worked as a machinist and foreman from 1956 to 1994, for the Frank Hamachek Machine Co. He served his country in the U.S. Army in the Korean War from 1952 to 1954 in the 35th. Tank Co. 25th Infantry and attained the rank of Sergeant. During his military service he received the Korean Service Medal, N/2 Bronze Service Stars, the Combat Infantry Badge, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Bob enjoyed being in the outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish with his son, and grandchildren. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, town of Gibson, and the American Legion Post # 29.

He is survived by his wife, Judith; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert A. and Kristine Lischka, of Mishicot, three grandchildren, Aaron, Evan, and Jenna; one sister, Marion Wiltman, of Two Rivers; five brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law, Ann (Harold) Leubke, of Valders; Alan (Marlene) Sieker, of Manitowoc; Ronald (Doris) Sieker, of Green Bay; Karen (Richard) Stubbe, of Manitowoc; Terry (Linda) Sieker, of Greenleaf; and by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, John Lischka, and one sister, Carol Belter.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2014, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, town of Gibson, with the Reverend Don Frelitz officiating, with entombment following in the Knollwood Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends called from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home in Mishicot. Visitation continued after 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at the church, until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Following the service at church military rites accorded by the American Legion Post #29 of Kewaunee. A memorial fund has been established for Bethany Lutheran School and the Manitowoc Lutheran High School Capital Appeals Fund. The Lischka family would like to express a very special thank you to the entire staff of the Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Neuro Department, and to the staff of the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Care Center for the special care extended to Bob during his illness. Your kindness will always be remembered.
