Mrs. Welch was born March 30, 1905, at Thackerville, and died October 10, 1997, in the Mercy Memorial Health Center, Ardmore, following a brief illness. She was the daughter of Tom and Lou Holland Langston.
Mrs. Welch was a member of the First Orthodox Baptist Church. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for many years and was a member of the S.W. Bell Pioneer Breakfast Club and 42 Club. She and Odus G. Welch were married August 4, 1928, at Ardmore.
Survivors include three brothers, H.E. Langston of Marietta, L.M. Langston and Fred Ruth, Jr. of Thackerville; and a sister, Vena Northcutt of Marietta.
Mrs. Welch was preceded in death by her husband on October 3, 1995; and three brothers, Lucian Langston, Chalmer Langston and Mark Langston.
Services were under the direction of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home, Ardmore.
