George T. Blanchard of Everett, Thrown From Train.
(Special Dispatch to the LEdger).
Everett, Jan. 2 - George T. Blanchard of 2317 Summit avenue, a brakeman on the Great Northern railroad, was thrown from a train at 6 o'clock this morning and fatally injured as the train was pulling into Merritt, a small station this side of the Cascade tunnel. The body reached Everett this evening on the overland passenger train. Blanchard leaves a widow and four children.

Brakeman George C. Blanchard of Everett, fell between the cars of the eastbound freight train near Merritt and was killed. He had probably been applying or releasing brakes and walking over the train and slipped. He leaves a wife and four children in Everett.
