Lola graduated valedictorian at Brooklyn High School in 1945. She later attended Madison Business College. Lola married on Jan. 21, 1948, in Dubuque, Iowa. Her hobbies included playing bridge, reading and flower gardening. She was also a talented pastel and watercolor artist. However, her greatest passion was her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers-in-law, Orville Popanz Jr., and Carl Popanz; sister-in-law, Shirley Popanz; and father and mother-in-law, Orville Sr. and Cathaline Popanz.
