Mr. William Daniel Hayes, 77, of Lumberton, passed away on May 6, 2014, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at East Lumberton Baptist Church, the Rev. Mike Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.
He was born in Robeson County on Aug. 23, 1936, to the late Harvey Hayes and the late Katie Burchette Hayes.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ertle Ray Hayes.
Mr. Hayes is survived by his wife, Hazel King Hayes of the home; a sister, Nancy Hayes of Lumberton; and a nephew, Ray Hayes of Danville, Pa.
The visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory Inc. at 809 E. Fifth St. in Lumberton.
