Ola H. Long 73 died Saturday January 3, 2015 at his residence. Born in Rhea County, he was the son of the late John and Vini Hale Long.

Ola was a farmer and of the Baptist faith.

Ola was preceded in death by his wife Sarah Elizabeth Long.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years Mary Hill Long of Spring City, daughters Mary Lou (Frank) Emel of Spring City, Shelia (Rodney) Underwood of Rossville, GA, Connie Dunn of Crandall, GA, Lois (Steve) Moffett and Regina Kay (Fatty) Simmons of Spring City, sons Keith (Carol Ballard) Guthrie of Spring City, brother Tommy Long of Spring City, sisters Chris Ann Bloodsworth and Sharon Daily both of Spring City, sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services are Tuesday January 6, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Hurd officiating.

Burial will follow in the Porter-Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
