Obituary from the Frederick Post, 23 February 1931: "Charles F. Nusbaum died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. James Herbst, near Mt. Pleasant, Sunday morning about 6:15 o'clock of general debility, aged 85 years, seven months and two days. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Herbst, and Mrs. Edward Bohn, Frederick; four sons, Harry E., Walkersville; J. Clinton, this city; William H., Mt. Pleasant, and George H. Nusbaum, Mt. Pleasant; one sister, Mrs. Annie Snyder, Johnsville, twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral Tuesday afternoon leaving the house at 1 o'clock with services at Union Chapel. Interment adjoining cemetery. Mrs. K. G. Putman, funeral director."
