BANGOR – Gerald 'Joe' Boone, 92, Crystal, died January 2nd 2015 in Bangor. He was born February 22nd 1922 in Davidson, Maine the son of Simon and Ethel (Gerald) Boone.
He is a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the So. Pacific during WWII.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years Bessie (Chambers) Boone of Crystal. Two brothers Darrell and his wife Madeline Boone of Crystal and Royce Boone of Medway. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, one daughter, Clorise and four brothers; Alton, Frank and two infants.
Spring interment will be in the Maine Veterans Cemetery Caribou. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home Island Falls. (Bangor Daily News 1.6.2015)
