He was born Sept. 18, 1918 in Southington the son of the late Sisto and Sally (Petryski) Salvatore. He had worked at Peck Stow and later Rex Forge. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Army. He loved yard work , making bird houses and yard ornaments but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by a daughter Nancy Gelinas and her husband Guy of Southington, a granddaughter Kimberly Gelinas and her boyfriend Diego Cardenas, a great grandson Victor and his grand dog "Bernice". He also leaves 2 sisters-in-law Maude Allodi and Mary Salvatore and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Robert Salvatore and a brother Edward Salvatore.
Funeral Services were held Wednesday 11 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington. Burial will be private.
