Funeral services will be held at Genesis Lutheran Church at Buchanan Dam Wednesday, Dec. 30, at 1p.m., with Pastor Brian Bibler officiating.

Interment will be at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park on Park Road 4 immediately following. Pallbearers are grandsons, Cody Oliver and Kristopher Ulbricht; nephews, Audie Ray Wienecke, Wayne Albert Wienecke, William McBee, Sonny (James) Ellis and Bill Ruff, and long-time family friend, Charlie Slangal. Honorary pallbearers are brothers, James Wienecke and Bobby Wienecke; nephew, Donny Klein; son-in-law, Richard Ulbricht; brother-in-law, Jerome Gold; neighbor and friend, Ken Caskey; her right-hand man, Bodie Dykes; and special friend, Keith Mills, who provided her with many fresh fruits and vegetables.

Annie is survived by her Texas relatives: daughters, Charolet Ulbricht and husband Richard of Buda, Cynthia Scudder of Tow, and Connie Oliver of Bertram; granddaughters, Nikki Werley and husband David; and great-grandchildren, Ryan and Holly Adair of Driftwood, Amanda Huston and husband Scott and great granddaughter, Jacey of Kingsland; grandsons, Chad Scudder of Dallas, Kristopher Ulbricht of Buda, and Cody Oliver of Bertram; her beloved sister, Alma Klein of Fredericksburg; brothers, James Wienecke and Bobby Wienecke of Harper; and her four cockatiels, Patty, Missy, George, and Precious.

Preceding her in death were her husband, mother and father, seven brothers, five sisters, and three sons-in-law. Annie was born on Feb. 6, 1931 to Otto T. and Alma I. Wienecke in Harper. She was baptized on May 3, 1931 by the Rev. Wolf and confirmed July 30, 1944 by the Rev. Walter Probst at St. James Lutheran Church in Harper.

She married the love of her life, James Vonceil Greeson, on Aug. 25, 1952 in Kerr County. Annie lived at Lake Buchanan, where her family was the center of her life. She loved decorating for holidays and family gatherings, enjoyed dancing and music, cooking and canning, and making everything special for her family and
friends. Annie worked hard her whole life and was a caregiver for many people.

Annie was a good and faithful servant of God. She always made sure her kids were involved in church activities. She loved to eat and cook with her special life long friend, Catherine Hope McCarty. Annie has tons of photos from her personal photographer and "adopted" daughter, Debbie Slangal. She was blessed with two angels, Patty Guess and Janice Prosise, who provided constant love, support, and care. Next-door neighbors, Ken and Verna Caskey, computer wizards, honored her with many special cards and DVD's they made for her and family. Her family and friends will miss her, but were truly blessed to have had her touch their lives.

One of the most memorable and fun times of Annie's life was her surprise 70th birthday gift of a trip to Las Vegas from her family and friends. That was her first and only airplane trip and everyone on the plane sang happy birthday to her. She even got a kiss from "Elvis" while in Las Vegas. On her 77th birthday, Annie was surprised with a gift of a real slot machine to play at home. Annie especially enjoyed playing Train and Skip-Bo games with everyone.

Annie lived a long and peaceful life due to the exceptional care of her caregivers, many specialists, especially her primary physician, Dr. Robert Graves, and the care of Seton Highland Lakes Home Health and Hospice, including her caregivers Yolanda Sosa and RN Leonora Britton.

Memorials may be made to Genesis Lutheran Church at Buchanan Dam or to Seton Highland Lakes Hospice in Burnet.
